Pleasant\, First on Saturday\, October 17 from 10 am to noon.\n\nThe Clerk of Session Handbook may be downloaded here. SUMMARY:Christ Church Fundraiser for Missions
DESCRIPTION:Christ Church Presbyterian\, will be doing a little fundraising for local missions on October 17th with our Soup\, Sandwich and Dessert supper. The supper will include chicken noodle soup or chili\, a sloppy joe and various desserts. \nCost for the supper is $6.00 for adults\, $3.00 for children from 6 to 12 and free for children under 6. \nThere will also be a craft and bake sale. So\, bring your appetite and your friends and family for a fun and filling dinner!!

SUMMARY:Visiting Peacemaker from the Congo
DESCRIPTION:Rev. Berthe Nzeba\, first clergywoman in the Congo\, coordinates national and international support for women and children displaced by the 1996-2003 conflict which killed 5.4 million and displaced many more who are still at risk of violence from remaining militias. \n\nChristi Boyd\, interpreter\, is mission co-worker in the Congo\, Rwanda\, Niger\, Madagascar\, and South Sudan. In the Congo she is helping change laws under which widows and their children are dispossessed by their in-laws\, causing dire poverty. \n\nPotluck supper at 6:00pm followed by program at 7:00pm. Please bring a covered dish and your table service.
