Unholy Ghosts Film Series
The Mission and Social Justice Team will be offering a five-week online Lenten video and discussion series entitled, “America’s Unholy Ghosts: An Examination of Christianity, White Supremacy, and Racism.” Using short videos produced by The Work of the People, Teaching Elder Trey Hegar and Ruling Elder Marta Pumroy will facilitate meaningful dialogue with participants after viewing the films during each session. All Presbyterians in East Iowa are invited to participate. Registration will be required in order to receive the ZOOM invitation. The series will be offered on both Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m. – led by Trey and then repeated on Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. – led by Marta. This dual offering is intended to accommodate as many people as possible. The series will begin Sunday, February 21, 2021 and Wednesday, February 24, 2021.
