The Mission and Social Justice Team (MSJT) will host an interactive keynote with Co-Moderator of the PC(USA) Elona Street-Stewart on on Friday, July 16, 2021 from 6:30pm-8:15pm via Zoom.

The event, PEIA Racial Justice: Celebrate, Learn, Move-Forward  will include 3 parts:

• Sharing of the work that churches have done in the presbytery focusing on racial justice, transformation, and reparations.
• Learning sessions to challenge us to think deeper.
• A renewal of ourselves with Q and A with Co-Moderator Elona Street Stewart

People and groups already doing concrete racial justice work in our Presbytery will be invited to the Friday event. (Examples include participating in UnHoly Ghosts Lenten series or focusing on Matthew 25 initiative)

Street-Stewart, who is also the  Synod Executive for the Synod of Lakes and Prairies, will host the interactive  Friday night session. She is very interested in meeting and building relationships and community. She will also speak at the Saturday Stated Meeting of the Presbytery of East Iowa.
