You’re invited to hear Dove Award winning singer-songwriter Mitch McVicker perform at Christ Church Presbyterian in Cedar Rapids (2000 1st Ave NW). McVicker is a folk/rock style musician who has a unique show for the whole family. His music career has consisted of over 1500 concerts and 10 albums including his latest project, “The Grey (When Black & White Fade)“.

After growing up in Kansas, McVicker began working with the late, great Rich Mullins (Awesome God, Step by Step). The two of them performed concerts together, wrote songs, and were roommates. Then, McVicker was in the car wreck that killed Mullins. After a lengthy recovery, Mitch began his own musical ministry playing in churches and other venues and sharing the love of God wherever he goes..

“At this point in my life, I am setting out to be guided by the love of God. Being led by love is a lot more scary, ambiguous, and, yes, grey, than following steps simply for the sake of the steps,” says McVicker.

This concert is FREE. A free will offering will be taken up with proceeds going to assist Cleveland Elementary School which is across the street from Christ Church. For more information, go to Christ Church’s Facebook page or call Sarah Dyck at 319-321-4165.
