To help you celebrate World Communion and our Peace and Global Witness Offering this fall, the Presbytery’s Peacemaking Task Force would like to bring your church an International Peacemaker to visit some time around the beginning of October.  You can help us choose who will come and when by contacting Lisa Ross Thedens. Peacemakers can spread the good news of peacemaking in the world with all kinds of gatherings, potluck fellowship, retired, women, men, youth, your local schools, community groups, and lead Sunday worship or be interviewed by your newspaper.

One Peacemaker we’re thinking of requesting is Efi Latsoudi of Greece.  The most tragic day for Efi was October 28, 2015, when more than 70 migrants drowned just off the coast of Lesvos. This episode left a profound mark upon her. In 2016, she was awarded the Nansen Award, conferred by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees to those who go beyond the call of duty in helping people forcibly displaced from their homes.
